NIGER STATE

Niger State is located in the middle west  central of Nigeria and was formed out of the defunct North Western Nigeria in 1976. The state is made up of the old Nupe and Kotangora Kingdoms, Abuja (now Suleja) Zauzau Kinggdom. The three principal cultural/ethnic groups of the state are the Nupe, the Hausa and the Gwari whilst you have the Abishiwa, the Ayadi, the Bassa, the Bauchi, the Dukawa, the Dibo, the
GURARA WATERFALLS

This wonderful waterfall is best described as Nigeria's premier falls. The waterfall is simply amazing, small streams diverts from the main Gurara river running softly around rocks on top of the cliff, converging from score tributaries in the narrow rugged pass and dashing out from the cliff with a gushing power. The water shines under the sun as beautiful as fireworks.
NIGER STATE
Fulani, the Gade, the Godara, the Gulangi, the Ganagana, the Ingwai, the Koro, the Kadara, the Kambari, the kamuku, the Kadanda, the Maudu, the Pangu and the Shigini.
About 80% of the population is engaged in agricultural activities..Niger state has one of the largest and most fertile agricultural land in the country. The Nupe are the major rice producers while the Gwari, Koro, kadawa and Kambari are famous for yam and guinea corn production. The Hausa and Fulani are know for animal Husbandry. There is also the presence of other minerals like limestone, glass sands, chalk and copper.
ZUMA ROCK

This is a beautiful, giant rock used for defensive purposes by the Gwari natives against invading neighbouring tribes during the inter tribal wars. The rock is believed to possess certain powers which rendered enemies powerless and provided the natives with a good hiding place. As the tourists nets closer, a human like face becomes visible with engraving representing the sockets, the nose and the mouth on the side of the rock that faces Abuja road.
Zuma rock represents a beautiful and unique natural work of rock formation. It offers a good environment for picnics and relaxation.

BIDA TOWN

The town is famous for its handicrafts and colourful market. Bida is famous for its glass beads, cloths, silver, brass works and pottery.
